It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cameron Jade Stromsmoe, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, who left us on July 7, 2025. Cameron was 42 and is survived by his cherished wife Judy and his two wonderful children, Noah and Quin.
Cameron was a loving son to Sharon and Mylo Stromsmoe, and a best friend and brother to Tiffany Schooten and her husband Mike. He took immense pride in being an uncle to his beloved nieces, Georgia and Paisley, and his nephew, Walker, who loved Cam deeply.
Cam had a unique ability to make everyone feel special, worthwhile, and loved. He cherished his family and friends fiercely, always going above-and-beyond to create lasting memories. Whether it was planning trips or gathering friends for a night of laughter, Cam brought people together. Known for his incredibly generous heart, Cam never hesitated to show up for others- whether with a helping hand, a thoughtful gift, or simply his time and presence.
Cam's passions included tattoos, sports cars, and the love of life. He was an avid pickleball, golf, and “uppy” ball enthusiast, always ready for a friendly competitive match. He enjoyed cold beers and delicious wings while sharing good times with loved ones. Cam had a zest for life that extended to his love of motorbikes, travelling and his two dogs Olive & Zoey.
Cam's faith in Jesus guided his life and actions always. He will be remembered not only for his passions but also for the connections he forged throughout his life. He battled cancer with extraordinary grace and determination, showing the same strength, humour, and heart that defined him every day of his life. Tatted with love, filled with faith, and always the life of the party- heaven gained a real one!
A celebration of Cameron's life will be held at 1:00pm on July 17, 2025 at the Evangelical Church of Lethbridge. Family and friends are invited to join us in honoring the remarkable life he led. Those who attend are encouraged to arrive early, starting at 11:30am to write a loving message, or, place your favourite sticker onto his casket prior to the service.
Our family would like to recognize the special caregivers at the Jack Ady Cancer Center as well as the tremendous team on unit 4B at the Chinook Regional Hospital. Their authentic and genuine care and love for Cam and our family during the hard moments was extraordinary. We have been truly blessed by them. To our family and friends who have journeyed beside Cam, thank you, and God bless you as our family expresses our most heart-felt gratitude.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to a GoFundMe page that will be set aside for Cam’s two boys, Noah and Quin.
Cam’s absence leaves a space that can never be filled. The ache of missing him is as deep as the love he gave – fierce, real, and unforgettable. He will be missed in the quiet moments, the loud laughter, the small traditions, and the big milestones. His love is woven into the very fabric of our lives, and while the world feels dimmer without him, we carry his light with us- ALWAYS.
